Tech Integration Specialist
I graduated from Yukon High School in 2002. I attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, OK for two years. I finished up at UCO in Edmond Oklahoma. 2020 is my 11th year in education.
Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education
Master's of Education in Early Childhood Education
My current role is to support classroom teachers in determining how technology can be used to enhance and deepen learning experiences. I love getting to walk side-by-side with teachers to help them harness the power of teaching through technology integration.
Thanks to the #KidsDeserveIt movement and the book of the same name, I have been inspired to support teachers in their pursuit of being the best they can be, no matter the task. It is my true and hard-line belief that ALL students CAN learn and deserve to have teachers whom they trust and feel safe to learn with but also they deserve teachers who are making learning meaningful by pushing boundaries, thinking big, and challenging the conventional.
I started my career in education as an Elementary Teacher in Oklahoma City Public Schools where I taught 1st, 2nd, and 4th grades. After being in the classroom for 7 years, I made the leap to instructional coaching and then on to central office as an EdTech Coach first in OKCPS and now for Hennessey Public Schools in Hennessey, OK. This is my third year with Hennessey Public Schools.
